Arabic Beauty & Sun Protection

Arabic Beauty is protected in the sun in various ways. From staying out of the sun and covering up, to SPF moisturising creams and burkini’s.

Arabic Beauty & Sun ProtectionUltimate sun protection - stay out of it!

Traditionally Arabic women have known that the best form of sun protection is to stay out of it, especially during peak times.

Cover up with clothing, hats and scarves

Arabic women maintain beautiful skin by not only staying out of the sun but also covering up with scarves and clothing. Of course a lot of Arabic women cover their faces for religious or cultural reasons, those that don’t still use clothing, hats or scarves to protect their skin.

Wear sunscreen/sun block and sunglasses

If you prefer or need to go out in the direct sun, wear a strong sunscreen or sun block. Sunglasses are particularly great for protecting the delicate skin around the eyes. There is nothing worse than squinting in the sun that can not only cause a headache but can cause wrinkles to form at the sides of the eyes.

Avoid sunbeds

Arabic women also consider sun beds to be harmful to the skin.  Generally you will not find women in the Arabic world using sun beds.  Research has shown that the number of cases of skin cancer is significantly lower in Arabic countries.

Try a burkini

More recently a burkini has been developed to maintain Arabic beauty and modesty. The swim suit covers the whole body except the face, the hands and the feet (enough to preserve Muslim modesty), whilst being light enough to enable swimming. It is also being worn by non Arabic women for added sun protection.
